Vergnet is a world leader in wind turbine innovation and success, having hundreds of turbines installed in the harshest and most remote corners of the planet, providing sustainable energy to the location population.

The GEV MP range of turbines are a technological breakthrough in the medium wind industry, they meet all the specifications of small grids and outperform any other turbine of their class. They are robust and light, yet strong and stable enough to withstand hurricane winds, when secured to the ground. They are easy to transport, fitting nicely into five 40ft standard containers and standard sized trucks, easy to install, can be maintained at ground level and offer high performance. They ensure trouble free energy production with minimum maintenance.

The Vergnet GEV MP range is available in 2 versions: the MP R and MP C.

Vergnet GEV MP R wind turbine in useThe GEV MP R is the free standing (monopole) sibling to the guy-wired MP C, and is available in 200kW, 250kW or 275kW models. The GEV MP R wind turbine takes the best of industrial wind power technology and applies it to medium-scale power generation enabling farmers, land owners and manufacturers to benefit and profit from investing in green energy production.

What the GEV MP R offers you:

  • easy installation: standard sized containers and flat bed trucks, even for the blades and  a standard 50-t crane.
  • easy operation: minimum maintenance and 24/7 SCADA monitoring.
  • robustness and reliability: Vergnet have 20 years of field experience using renowned suppliers and offering a 2 year warranty.
  • high return on investment: due to the low installation cost and minimum operating costs

The GEV MP C is a guy-wired range of turbines available in 200kW, 250kW and 275kW models. This innovative guy-wired design enables an exclusive lowering system for ground level maintenance of the hub and for blade cleaning. Using an integrated winch the whole machine can be lowered by two people in an easy and safe operation that takes less than one hour.

This unique guy-wired design offers other benefits; once fastened to the ground, the GEV MP C can sustain winds of up to 300km/h ( a Category 5 hurricane) and proves efficient during earthquakes. It also means the whole turbine can be assembled on the ground and then erected using the integrated hydraulic winch. No crane is required.

What the GEV MP C offers you:

  • easy transportation: standard sized containers and flat bed trucks, even for the blades.
  • easy to install: thanks to its exclusive self-erecting concept
  • ground level maintenance: thanks to the lowering system maintenance costs are minimal, as is downtime.
  • hurricane proof: thanks to the guy-wires the GEV MP C can sustain category 5 hurricanes.
