This is the capturing of energy from the sun through the use of various sized solar receptors (solar panels).
WHAT IS THE APPLICATION?
Solar panels efficiently convert the sun’s energy into electrical energy (solar PV) or heat (solar Thermal). Solar panels can be fitted to a building or structure to reduce energy costs.
HOW DOES THIS BENEFIT ME?
This application saves you money whilst harnessing natural resources in a sustainable way, and is supported by the Government’s Feed In Tariffs effective from April 2010.
WHAT DOES THIS COST?
Solar panels can cost from as little as £4,000 per kW peak installed for Solar Photovoltaic or £1,500 per kW peak installed for Solar Thermal.
