The AQ500 is made up of an extremely compact unit which measures the wind speed, direction and turbulence through a reflected acoustic pulse. Unlike a mast system the AQ500 does not require planning approval, as the unit itself is only 1.2m tall, it can therefore be installed quickly and with minimal fuss.
