Objective:

To determine the capacity and model of medium wind turbines that could be installed at Park House Farm followed by a robust planning application and construction and operations and maintenance of the medium wind turbines.

Outcome:

The feasibility study determined the Park House Farm infrastructure could accommodate up to 2 x 250kW medium wind turbines. Park House Farm is an ideal site for medium wind turbines, and further work was undertaken to take the project through to a formal planning application.  Consent has now been granted and work is about to commence on the construction of two medium wind turbines.

The basic feasibility work covered ecology, archaeology, noise and visual studies and resulted in a formal planning application to Hinckley and Bosworth Council  which was submitted  in Spring 2011 with consent given in March 2012.

Paul Hilyer:

“Work carried out on the feasibility study by ICE was both thorough and accurate which gave us the confidence to progress the project to the next stage.”

The construction of these wind turbines by ICE Renewables is about to commence.
