Cutting carbon emissions from electricity generation is one of the keys to preventing dangerous climate change. Embrace My Planet is working to promote renewable energy as part of this effort, and we need your help! In co-operation with Friends of the Earth, we’re holding training sessions that will give you a solid grounding in working and campaigning for renewable energy where you live, and they’re totally free!
These sessions will give you a foundation in:
- Local campaigning skills
An introduction to campaigning at a local and regional level on renewable energy and sustainability issues. - How to engage with the media
Learn everything from how to write an effective letter through to getting your point across on the radio! - Community renewables & common wind myths
Learn about the options available for funding & delivering community projects – and how to counter common windpower myths.
Scheduled Training Sessions:
Two sessions are scheduled at present, but we plan to hold more sessions in England towards the end of the year. Details of currently planned sessions are below:
